The colours of nature are reflected in the fresh and vibrant palette with the timber veneer splashback and floor bringing natural warmth to the scheme. A display shelf has been added to all splashbacks to keep cherished keepsakes and a handy chalk blackboard has been placed close to the pantry for those important messages and notes. Drawers have been used extensively and provide ample storage along with a walk-in pnatry and the lift up doors on the overhead cabinetry provides easy access to goods. The large island provides plenth of room to prepare food and casual dining for the family when required. Downlights under the wall cabinetry and strategically placed over the island illuminate the workspaces and also create a wonderful atmosphere when entertaining.

A narrow space has not hindered the wow factor or design of this kitchen. The joinery has been neatly fitted under the staircase to create a smooth run along the the wall and seating at one end of the island provides easy flowing access all around. Drawers have been used extensively and there is a large pantry and storage discretely hidden under the stairs. The joinery has a 'no handles look' and coupled with a smokey grey glass splashback and kickboards adds sophistication. The dark timber veneere contrasts well the lighter coloured benchtop and overhead cabinets. This kitchen caters for a busy executive's lifestyle and is ready for entertaining any time of the day.

This kitchen won the 2011 HIA Small Kitchen Project of the Year!!!!!

Generally speaking, the LED strip lights come in a standard white colour or colour changing. The lighting can be used to brighten a drawer (as in the above image) and amaze your guests at dinner parties. Coloured LED strip lighting under cabinetry (as in the images below) can give your kitchen the WOW factor. They create incredible ambience when viewed from afar as well as give you much needed task lighting when working up close in the kitchen.

This kitchen is the winner of our industries top award. 2011 HIA Australian Kitchen of the Year. This kitchen was designed and manufactured by Art of Kitchens

Outdoor kitchens are becoming a popular addition to outdoor entertaining areas. We now have access to waterproof board that allows us to install joinery to areas that are exposed to the weather. This outdoor kitchen includes painted polyurethane doors and a Corian bench top.

Daring design is a treat when executed with flair and experience so be sure to employ the Art of Kitchens team that has vision as well as the skill to bring it successfully to fruition.
When the owners of this home expanded on their property they were presented with a stunning view and wanted nothing more than to frame it and use it as a feature of their new kitchen. Not one to disappoint, Art of Kitchens conceptualised a project that went above and beyond this request and made the stunning vista the backdrop to the space with an innovative and eye-catching design.
In a creative yet practical twist a window that bordered the view was installed in place of a splashback along the rear wall of the kitchen. This bold design feature is also a smart one as it allows the room to be kissed by a generous wash of natural light for an inviting daytime ambience. Beneath the light the floating marble island benchtop is luminous and perfectly accompanied by CaesarStone benches in Snow and polyurethane cupboards treated to a luscious coat of Dulux Vivid White. This interesting mix of surfaces and finishes give the kitchen a unique beauty that complements that seen beyond the glass window as well as the home itself.
Thankfully the artful design is not wasted as it is regularly admired and made use of when the family entertains. Guests are able to take a seat at the large island bench and join in the food preparation or simply enjoy the view. And when the party is over the kitchen is easily cleaned as ample storage space has been supplied for appliances and cooking knick-knacks.
It is fair to say that Art of Kitchens made the most of the enviable canvas presented to it by the homeowners and now the owners are making the most of the wonderful kitchen they were given in return.

A sizeable and practical kitchen is an essential ingredient for a family that loves entertaining. The owners of this new kitchen wanted a space that would complement their newly renovated home while fulfilling all of their requirements.
They were after a minimal, contemporary design featuring a dark veneer paired with a light coloured benchtops.
The brief also included adding a small home office within the kitchen. The office area is cleverly concealed behind panels opposite the bifold windows. It is easily accessed without detracting from the beauty of the kitchen.
The original kitchen was at the rear of the home and it has now been relocated so that it sits at the front of the house. It boasts interior and exterior access through folding windows and has an overall sleek appearance through the use of seamless integration of appliances.
Mirrors have been used on the kitchen splashback to add dimension and light while mirrored kickboards create an illusion of floating cabinetry. Incorporating deeper kickboards within the design reduced the space below the benchtops and presented the designer with a challenge to maintain the functionality within the kitchen.
The lack of space was overcome by incorporating a walk-in pantry and two single drawer dishwashers. A contemporary and streamlined design was achieved through consistent width of the joinery planes and the cooking and cleaning areas are conveniently located near the bifold windows.
The kitchen is the perfect space for a gracious host. It can be enjoyed throughout the year, the form is fabulous and function hasn’t been overlooked.

Prevalent in Architectural design is the combination of two pack polyurethane doors and timber veneer. The range of veneers is staggering. Many Architects combine the beautiful natural finish of a dark timber veneer on the base cabinets with a lighter poly on the overhead cabinets. Our veneer doors are coated in clear satin two pack poly for protection and our poly colour range is unlimited as we can match to any colour you choose.
Combining different finishes in the bench top is also being more recently requested. Lighter stone is combined with stainless steel or a striking natural granite or marble bench. Two colours in the same door finish are possible too. Colour matching the doors to the walls or glass splash backs is also possible should you wish. The combinations are endless.
Combining finishes due to budget is also an intelligent way to maximize the return on an investment property rather than over capitalizing on a kitchen you will never use. Combining the more expensive stone bench tops to the very reasonably priced melamine doors is a great way to achieve a smart looking, high quality kitchen that will help sell your property. Ask our Designers for suggestions on finishes, not only for investment properties but rental properties as well.
The biggest request from clients is the ability for Art of Kitchens to manufacture cabinets to their exact custom specification. The kitchen industry is dominated by companies that design modular kitchens or if they do design a custom kitchen at a client’s insistence, it will quote it at premium price.
Rather than have other company’s manufacture our kitchens for us in modular sizes, Art of Kitchens employ qualified craftsmen to manufacture all its joinery. We have built our reputation on building custom joinery for Sydney’s leading Architects, Interior Designers and Builders.
This allows us to ensure that drawer heights can be adjusted to fit even the largest stock pot. It allows us to design your kitchen at extra heights to utilize all possible storage space. We can ensure perfect symmetry is achieved by doors lining up with each other or we can curve your doors to achieve a softer look. It’s not uncommon for an Architect or builder to commission us with a homes entire joinery fit out including vanities, offices, laundries, wardrobes and entertainment units.
